Stranger danger message reinforced
AS POLICE continue to search for the man responsible for trying to lure a Kingscliff girl into his car, local schools are taking the opportunity to remind children of the "safe people, safe places" message.
Duranbah principal Sandy Ellis said she was, always reminding her students about maintaining personal safety.
Ms Ellis said she had spoken with the students about last weekend's incident and paid particular attention to those students who walked to and from the bus stop in Kingscliff.
She planned to show all students the COM-FIT image of the suspect yesterday before they went home for the weekend.
A NSW Department of Education spokesman said Kingscliff Public School had organised a special session with students on Monday to talk about the attempted abduction.
Students also received a copy of the note released by police about the incident.
The spokesman said all students were given a copy of the information released by police on Thursday to take home with them yesterday.
Police have asked anybody with information about this case to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
