Adelaide Strikers take aim at home Big Bash final

AFTER having their Big Bash League game against the Sydney Thunder washed out on Monday night, the Adelaide Strikers can wrap up a home final by beating the Sixers in Sydney tonight.

The one point from the wash-out means the Strikers will qualify for the finals for the first time in the four-year history of the BBL.

A win tonight would lock up either first or second place, and a home final. A loss could see them drop to either third or fourth.

Captain Johan Botha will be keen to see some more batting fireworks after the Strikers reached a staggering 5-119 of just 10 overs, Alex Ross (pictured) belting 30 off 11 balls, before rain intervened one over into the Thunder's run chase.

The Sixers are third on the standings with four wins from six games and need to beat the Strikers and Thunder in their final two games to book a home final.
