Students Jump Rope for Heart

TERRANORA Public School students are jumping for joy at having the chance to stay healthy and raise money for the Heart Foundation.

The students are taking part in Jump Rope for Heart and Terranora Public School Principal James Hackett said the kids have been busily practising their skipping skills.

“The school has participated in the program a few times in the past, it is a great program and the kids love it; it runs for the entire school term,” Mr Hackett said.

“We had the 6W class do a choreographed skipping demonstration to music at assembly and it was great.

“It is amazing all the tricks the kids can learn in such a short period of time.”

The Jump Rope for Heart program will finish at the school on June 18 with a jump-off.

Mr Hackett said the students have been fundraising for the Heart Foundation through their skipping and are being sponsored by family and friends.

Tweed residents who wish to sponsor the students are asked to contact the school.
