Stun gun used to threaten woman

A THIEF threatened to use an electric weapon, similar to a taser, after snatching a backpack at Robina last night.

A 36-year-old woman chased two men who snatched her backpack at University Drive around 9.35pm yesterday.

One man turned and threatened her with the weapon to end the chase.

The woman was sitting in a bus stop on University Drive when two men approached, grabbed her backpack and fled on foot.

The woman ran after the men for a short distance but stopped pursing them when one of the men turned and threatened her.

The men were last seen running towards Cottesloe Drive.

The men are described as Caucasian, aged in their late teens, about 170cm tall and wearing dark clothing. One of the men had blonde hair, the other brown hair.

The woman was not injured.
