Gold Coast Suns to shine on juniors

NORTHERN Rivers aussie rules juniors will have the chance to rub shoulders with Gold Coast Suns players tomorrow.

With all seven clubs conducting sign-on on Saturday afternoon, Casino, Lismore, Ballina and Tweed were lucky enough to secure visits from the Suns.

Northern Rivers junior and Suns player Jarred Ellis will be at the Lismore sign-on.

AFL Northern Rivers Staff will run sessions with new and existing club members and the Gold Coast.

Lismore and Ballina will also see the famous AFL inflatable equipment for the kids to test and show off their skills.

It's a great opportunity for kids of the Northern Rivers to become involved in junior sport as well as meeting players at the top level creating future aspirations," AFL Northern Rivers Juniors president Bob Lodge said.

There is also a sign-on for under-12 girls for thr first ever girls only competition in 2015. The 'Girls Play Too' Campaign has been extremely well received with youth girls on the Northern Rivers wanting in on the action.

Sign-on will run for two hours from 1pm.
