WHAT do James Bond, a fleet of Aston Martins and helicopter rescues have in common?

No, it's not the opening ceremony of the London Olympics; they're all part of the show at RACQ MotorFest at Brisbane's Eagle Farm Racecourse on Sunday.

More than 20 rare Aston Martins, including the iconic DB5 made famous in Goldfinger, form part of a multi-million dollar homage to the prestigious manufacturer's centenary.

Not to be outdone, a fleet of Lamborghinis will also be on show, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the raging bull, headlined by the ultra rare 1966 400GT 2+2 and $500,000 Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder.

But MotorFest won't just be featuring luxury sports and supercars - there will be more than 700 vintage, veteran, classic and unique vehicles on show.

Now in its 18th year, it's grown into one of the best community events in south-east Queensland, with car lovers from across Australia flocking to Eagle Farm.

Even if you aren't a car nut, there are food and market stalls, roving entertainment and kid's carnival rides, so there's something for everyone.

And while the London Olympics had the Queen skydiving out of a helicopter, MotorFest will have RACQ CareFlight choppers on display. Unfortunately the Queen had a prior engagement.

Unlike most family activities, MotorFest won't break the family budget. Admission is a gold coin donation, with proceeds going to the RACQ Helicopter Rescue Network.

Gates open from 10am, with a motoring cavalcade bringing the day to a close from 3pm. For more information, visit
