SUPERHEROES young and old turned out for the Superhero Saturday event on the weekend at Jack Evans Boat Harbour.

Dressed as Spiderman, Batman, Super girl, Green lantern with some creative personal designed outfits the children patrolled the park, keeping evil at bay.

"It's fantastic how we turned up as Team Copper and scoped the prize as best dressed," Steve Cooper of the best dressed team said.

"Su put in a lot of effort putting it all together last weekend and Bailey has had lots of fun, it's just a great family fun day out."

Talking to Team Cooper and asking why did they choose their outfit Su Cooper said

"We are the Super Coopers what else was there."

The Event had just under 50 teams and almost 200 participants which quadrupled last year's.

"It was fantastic to see all the teams dressed up for the day," Manager Community Projects of The Family centre Colleen Dowd said.

"There where little Superhero's running around everywhere."

And to finish it off we talked to the most important member of team Cooper young Bailey

"I really had a really, really, really good day."
