Suspension hits hard
I'M disappointed not to be playing this Friday night against the Cowboys after being suspended for a week because of a tackle I made last week against the Broncos.
In all honesty, I was a little surprised by the verdict and thought the tackle looked worse than it actually was with the legs going everywhere.
Still I just have to cop it sweet but there's no prize for guessing that missing out on playing against the Cowboys in a crucial game in front of our home crowd is hard to take.
I know the boys are looking to keep our home record in tact and we are keen to knock over another Queensland team for a second week in a row.

THE game against Brisbane last week saw us produce one of the best halves of footy we have played this year.
We were very strong in defence and showed good skills in attack to dominate the Broncos.
We started the second half strongly but then had some lapses which let the Broncos in for some quick tries.
We need to be able to put points on sides and then go on with the job and put teams away. It's something coach John Cartwright is trying to instil in us.
That usually starts with maintaining your defence and keeping it strong and then being able to grind down sides.
That means players have to work hard and stick to the game plan and I thought last week in our second half, there were times when we pushed passes we didn't need to.
It really is a matter of being patient when in control of the match.

ON Friday night, we have been forced to shuffle our forward pack around and I'm not exactly sure when the last time 'Bull' Bailey packed down in the second row.
Carty has moved him back to partner Mark Minichiello with Brad Meyers moving to lock to replace Ashley Harrison.
With Bull back in the second row, it means Matt White will start alongside Michael Henderson.
Whitey is looking forward to being in the starting line-up against the Cowboys who have a pretty handy pack themselves.
I'll be watching from the sidelines but I'd rather be out there helping the Titans secure a spot in the top four.

THE news about Karmicheal Hunt switching to Australian Rules has really come from left field and I don't know anyone who saw that coming.
I'm sure he will make the most of his chances in the AFL and I don't know but perhaps the move was prompted by his desire to stay in Queensland.
Perhaps when I'm done with league, I might go and see Clive Palmer at Gold Coast United and see if I can get a start. I used to be a handy goal keeper in my younger days!

I have been getting out to schools in the region to promote the Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well program along with Mini (Mark Minichiello) and it's been great talking to the kids and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Go the Titans!
