Suspicious blazes in bins

POLICE were called out to fires they believe were deliberately lit in bins at Pottsville overnight Sunday.

Tweed police Inspector Brad Stewart said police attended the sportsground around 10.30pm to find the bins alight, however, the nearby clubhouses and shops were undamaged.

Insp Stewart said police were continuing their investigation and hoped anyone with information would come forward.

If you saw anyone around that area or any vehicles leaving that area late last night contact Tweed police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
