Kombi adds bingo to Variety Bash

A TWEED Heads woman is ticking things off her bucket list and helping kids along the way.

Allana Cronan will hit the road in her retro Kombi van, the Bingo Basher, to raise money for children growing up with disability, serious illness or disadvantage.

“I am taking part in this year’s XXXX Variety Bash in August from Hervey Bay to Lightning Ridge and back to Gympie in my 1975 Kombi themed on living in the ’60s,” Ms Cronan said.

She is encouraging bingo callers to invite her to a game and help raise money.

“Every vehicle is committed to raising $7500 for the charity, plus covering their own travelling and personal expenses.

“I started fundraising last week with the help of the Coolangatta-Tweed Heads Golf Club and Danny’s Family Buffet and have banked over $800.

“The Good Guys are also donating a prize for a raffle.”

Advertising space is available on the Kombi for a donation.
