Rockhampton pair get 'Swifted' by country singer's attention

ONE shoulder-tap was all it took for Rockhampton's Alyssa Butcher to worm her way into the presence of an A-lister.

For about six minutes, Alyssa and her friend James McTaggart laughed with, spoke and listened to country-pop sensation Taylor Swift backstage after her Brisbane performance last weekend.

Taylor's mother Andrea Finlay was walking through the crowd. Upon recognising her, Alyssa shoulder-tapped Andrea and started crying.

Andrea told Alyssa and James to grab their stuff because they were going backstage to meet Taylor.
