Teen charged after car chase
A TEENAGER has been charged after a car chase at Mudgeeraba on Monday afternoon.
Police began the pursuit after noticing two cars, both believed to be stolen, travelling on Bonogin Rd about 1.30pm.
They were forced to stop the chase when it became too dangerous near Somerset Dr.
Police later discovered one car had hit a power pole on Somerset Dr and the two occupants were taken into custody after attempting to flee the scene.
An 18-year-old Mt Warren Park man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, fail to stop and burglary.
He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
