Teen faces court for armed robbery

 [BREAKING NEWS]: A 16-YEAR-old will face court today charged with robbing a Banora Point convenience store at gunpoint.

It's alleged about 6pm yesterday two males, armed with a replica gun and a knife, entered a store on the Pacific Highway, and bailed up the female shopkeeper.

The pair forced the employee to empty the till as they stashed money and cigarettes.
They ran from the scene. No-one was injured in the incident.
Police found one of the youthes, aged 16, at a Tweed Heads shopping centre.

He was charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon and in company.

The teen was refused bail and ordered to face the Byron Bay Children’s Court today.

Police are continuing to hunt the second alleged robber.
