Teen flown to Gold Coast hospital with head injuries

WESTPAC Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has transported a teen with head injuries to a Gold Coast hospital on Wednesday night.

A spokeswoman said the rescue service responded to reports a 17-year-old teenager had sustained head injuries after he fell off his BMX bike.

She said he was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition and would undergo specialist treatment.
