Teen hit by car transferred to Gold Coast Hospital
A TEEN who was hit by a car yesterday while riding his bike has been transferred to the Gold Coast Hospital from Tweed Hospital.
A spokesman for the Northern NSW Local Health District said he was unable to comment on the patient's current condition but said he needed a high-level of care.
"He was stabilised for a transfer about 8pm last night," the spokesman said.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the Minjungbal Dr scene about 2.19pm yesterday.
"The patient was treated for a possible back injury," the spokeswoman said.
"He was transported to Tweed Hospital in a stable condition."
It is understood the teen may be a student.
