Teen who survived earlier shooting gunned down
A COMANCHERO bikie gang affiliate who survived an attempt on his life just a fortnight ago was one of two men killed in two separate shootings Sydneys south overnight.
Sydney's Daily Telegraph reports that Bassil Hijazi survived a 16 July ambush that saw his car peppered with more than a dozen bullets on a quiet Bexley Street.
He was shot through the neck in that attack - an apparent display of retribution for the killings of Tyrone Slemnik and Ali Jammas - both Hells Angels members.
Around 9.30pm, as he was walking through a car park on Albyn Street, Bexley - less than a kilometre from where he was shot earlier this month - Hijazi was shot five times in the upper torso.
Witnesses say he ran towards the road and collapsed in a pool of blood.
A man has died following a shooting at Bexley tonight.
Police said they were called to Albyn Street following reports of a shooting at about 9.45pm.
"A19-year-old man had been shot a number of times and was treated by paramedics. However, upon arrival at St George Hospital the man was pronounced deceased,'' police said in a statement.
A crime scene has been established and will be examined by specialist forensic officers.
Detectives from St George Local Area Command and State Crime Command's Homicide Squad are investigating the shooting.
Police are also investigating another shooting incident in Earlwood on Monday night.
Police and other emergency services responded to reports of shots fired Charleston Avenue about 9.30pm.
Upon arrival, they located a man with a number of gunshot wounds. He has been taken to St George Hospital for treatment.
Police have established a crime scene at this location, and are investigating the possibility the shootings are linked.
