TWO foreign teenagers were robbed and assaulted at Elanora on Sunday night.

Gold Coast detectives are investigating the incident that occurred near a shopping centre.

The two teenagers, 16 and 17, were on a walkway near Guineas Creek Rd when three men on bicycles approached the two boys.

According to detective, the three males showed a knife and stole cash.

The offenders then left the scene only to return a short time later and assault the two teenagers.

The teenagers suffered minor facial injuries as a result.
