Temporary lights and lane closed as bridge repaired

EAGLE-eyed motorists will have noticed construction workers busying themselves with work on the overpass leading to Tweed Valley Way from the Pacific Hwy near Chinderah.

The work involves maintenance and bridge bearing repairs and is scheduled to be completed by early December, weather permitting.

Work is being carried out on weekdays from 7.30am-5pm and one lane will be closed with temporary lights in place to guide motorists through the worksite.

A reduced speed limit has been introduced and will be enforced, according to a Roads and Maritime Services spokeswoman.
