Terry Jorden claims treble
A TERRY Jordan treble was the highlight of a hot and humid race meet at Border Park Raceway on Saturday.
It didn’t take Jordan long to find his way to the podium with Little Lady Di blitzing the first to win over John Free’s Siam Speed and Vic Sorrenson’s Whatever Occurs For.
Just two races later he was back in the lime-light with Lachie Boy making it two from two at the track in the third, beating home Bob McKay’s Cagney and George Clegg’s Special Glitter.
However the champion trainer had to wait the until the penultimate race (eight) of the afternoon for his third winner, with Nicky Lyndan edging out Steal de Bullion and Suzie Be Good.
The performance of the day came from the Denise Wilson-trained debutant Villa Rides in the fifth.
Villa Rides was electric, impressing all in attendance by posting a remarkable last section of 15.96 seconds to take the win over Gary Keep’s Here’s Polly and Liz Grffin’s Jerry Can Cap.
Another good run came in the fifth, with Janice McLean’s Bond Beauty winning in 23.82sec ahead of Caitlin Jade.
