The mysterious case of the missing jet ski

ARE you missing a jet ski?

Police from Tweed Byron LAC are looking for the owner of a black and silver Yamaha jet ski, found in mysterious circumstances earlier this year.

"Back in early August 2013 a group of children fishing in the Oxley River, Eungella, outside Murwillumbah, landed a huge catch, finding a Yamaha jet ski tied up to a log," a police statement said.

"All efforts made by police to locate the current owner have come to a dead end.

"The jet ski is displaying expired registration details and a check with RMS (Roads and Maritime Services) located the last registered owner, who had sold it to another unknown male."

If you have any information which may help police locate the owner of the jet ski contact Tweed Police station on 07 5536 0999.
