Theatre makes transition

UNIQUE blend of drama, theatre and contemporary dance will be performed for the first time in the Tweed Shire this month.

The Transitions Physical Theatre, based in Uki and Murwillumbah, was recently formed by artists Diane Wilder and Suzie Cardiff to bring affordable physical dance theatre to the area.

“The performance, called Transitions, is presented in a series of acts that weave the audience through drama, comedy, humour, and tragedy as the lives of four different women in vastly different life situations unfold,” said Ms Wilder, of Kunghur.

“What we do is a fusion of drama, theatre and contemporary dance.”

Transitions will be held at the Stokers Siding Hall on June 19-20. The first night's performance will be followed by a short, informal forum.

Tickets (adults $12, concession $8) are available at the door or can be booked on (02) 6679 7273. or wilderdance@ hotmail.com.
