Three charged over dogs locked in car

THREE people have been charged with a total of seven animal cruelty offences following two separate incidents on the Gold Coast on Sunday.

Police were called to a car park on Seaworld Drive, Main Beach in relation to three dogs allegedly in distress in a locked, unattended vehicle where they had been for a number of hours. 

Officers were able to gain entry to the vehicle and seized the dogs, taking them to a council animal shelter.
