Three headline acts for Rockfest
THIS is Rockfest, revamped.
Sydney's The Mission in Motion, Brisbane's Jungle Giants and CQ's Epidemic...Over are the three headline acts for an exciting Rockfest 2012.
New venue, new bands and new attractions are on the cards for Rocky's youth when Rockfest hits the Robert Schwarten Pavilion at the showgrounds on April 13, in line with National Youth Week.
Not only will you see performances by popular and promising national bands, but also a BMX display, hip hop dance, workshops, a sideshow alley and more.
The Mission in Motion recently finished national tours with the Big Day Out and Soundwave 2012 festivals and the songs New Skin, Believer and Control are ripping up the triple j high-rotation list.
Brisbane indie band The Jungle Giants were hand-picked by triple j as the feature artists to launch the Unearthed 24-hour digital radio station, in the space of just eight shows.
The band has performed with the likes of Regurgitator, Last Dinosaurs, Ball Park Music and Andy Bull, and singer and songwriter Sam Hales was awarded the 2011 Billy Thorpe Scholarship, recognising him as one of Australia's best.
The local bands playing alongside these acts are yet to be announced.
