Three's the lucky number for Tweed City lottery entrants

GOOD things come in threes, obviously. Tweed City News has now sold three division one winning Lotto tickets this year.

Last Saturday's winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, won first division and other divisional prizes totalling $528,298 with a System 8 entry.

Tweed City News also sold a $2 million dollar ticket in January and a $1m ticket in June.

Agency representative Julie Eastgate said all winners were regulars at the Tweed City, Minjugnbal Dr, store and continued to play Lotto regularly.

"We're pretty lucky, once other people hear about it and see the Lotto plaques out the front of the store they want a go too,” she said.

Meanwhile, last weekend's winner is enjoying his prize money with "a few beers”.

"I actually checked my Saturday Lotto ticket on Sunday and I couldn't believe it when I spotted I had all six winning numbers,” he said.

"I've been playing my favourite numbers for a very long time.”

Tweed City News manager Sue Woods said although "good things happen in threes” the agency was hopeful of another Division 1 winner.

"There are still a few months until the end of the year so maybe we can have another and have an awesome foursome of division one wins,” she said.

"We're going to have to find some extra room on our wall for our new division one winning outlet plaque.”

There were two other division one winning entries sold in New South Wales.

The winning numbers in Lotto draw 3669 last Saturday were 3, 8, 18, 12, 9 and 27; supplementary numbers 39 and 4.
