Tiger resumes Gold Coast flights
TIGER Airways will have its first flight land at the Gold Coast early this evening since a safety authority grounded the fleet in July.
The Tiger flight to the Gold Coast will leave Melbourne at 4:40pm and touch down at Gold Coast Airport at around 6:40pm today.
The Gold Coast was the third route the discount airline opened since the lifting of the Civil Authority Safety Authority (CASA) ban on August 10.
CASA grounded the fleet because of safety issues that the airline had addressed, including tighter controls on pilot hours.
Tiger had also recommenced flights on its Brisbane-Melbourne and Sydney-Melbourne routes.
