THE Tweed Coast Tigers are on the road today to take on last year's Summerland League grand finalists Ballina in Ballina.
Their inaugural match was two weeks ago against Lismore, and Tweed Coast Tigers president Col Richards said the break had helped players get over “a few bumps and bruises” after their physical clash with the visitors, who defeated Tweed 15.16.106 to 13.9.87.
“It was a good introduction for many of our players who aren't that familiar with Aussie rules,” Richards said.
“We have a good mid-field and some tall forwards and if our delivery to them is better, we should go alright.
“It's early days, but things are looking good for the Tigers.”
The match at Fripp Oval in Ballina kicks off at 2pm.
