Time to recognise unsung heroes at museum

THE Tweed River Regional Musuem wouldn't be the same without its volunteers.

For this reason, Tweed Shire Council has taken the opportunity through National Volunteers Week to show its appreciation of their hard work.

Tweed mayor Barry Longland and other members of the Museum Advisory Committee thanked volunteers at the Coolamon Cultural Centre yesterday.

Representatives from a number of volunteer groups were presented with hampers, including the presidents of the Tweed's three historical societies and the Friends of the Tweed River Regional Museum
