Titans to tackle coaching clinics

THE Tweed will be transformed into Titan Town next week when the Gold Coast rugby league heavyweights set up camp at schools throughout the region.

The Titans are set to carry out assembly-style visits to local schools from Monday to Wednesday and afternoon clinics at Les Burger Oval and Murwillumbah Leagues Club.

Local products Shannon Walker, Luke O'Dwyer, Ben Ridge, Dominique Peyroux, Will Matthews, Kayne Lawton, Jordan Rankin, Anthony Laffranchi, Kevin Gordon, David Mead, Steve Michaels and Bodene Thompson will all be in attendance, as will fan favourites Mark Minichiello, Luke Bailey, Nathan Friend, Brad Meyers, Sam Tagaetese, Clinton Toopi and William Zillman.

In a further coup, the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League will host recently-appointed NSW State of Origin coach Ricky Stuart at a coach the coaches session at Ballina Seagulls Rugby League Club.

Stuart has formed an enthusiastic relationship with the Country Rugby League and will be working with the under-18 academy players and coaches next Sunday morning before running a session open to all Group 1, Group 18 and Northern Rivers players and coaches from 2-4pm.
