Toddler saved from backyard pool

A TODDLER has been taken to hospital in a stable condition after paramedics were called to a Gold Coast home to reports of a near drowning.

It is understood the toddler was in a pool at an Advancetown property at the time before paramedics were called at 9.52am.

Three units responded, including the High Acuity Response Unit and a critical care paramedic.

The toddler was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
