Fearless brides rock the frock for memorable wedding mess
TOOWOOMBA brides are fearlessly rocking the frock to make sure their wedding days are an unforgettable mess.
Mel Long is the latest newlywed in the Garden City to take part in the popular new wedding trend known simply as trash the dress.
It involves brides putting their precious gowns back on and literally trashing them in front of a photographer.
Mrs Long and her new husband Jeremy were married at Gabbinbar Homestead, but travelled to the coast for a trash the dress photo shoot.
They started in the ocean and finished on the sand covered in bright food dye and paint.
Mrs Long said she chose to do a trash the dress photo shoot to make her special day stand out that bit more.
"It was honestly the best experience and it was hilarious to see the audience that we had watching us gasping at what we were doing to the dress," she said.
"It was priceless."
Mrs Long said the day would not have been possible without the support of photographer Hailey Sheree.
"Hailey is such an outstanding photographer who actually suggested the whole idea and is so amazing to work with," she said.
"She goes out of her way to capture the perfect image."
