Toowoomba, Darling Downs set to swelter

IT IS going to be a steamy end to the week in Toowoomba and across the Darling Downs.

It could get to 35 degrees in the Garden City today and 39 degrees in Goondiwindi, 38 in Warwick and 37 in Dalby.

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting "gusty" thunderstorms this afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid to high 30s for the remainder of the week.
