Top restaurants and caterers named in Coffs Harbour

THREE Coffs Coast restaurants won acclaim at the 2013 Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Awards for Excellence held at Novotel Pacific Bay last night.

Macauleys at Park Beach won the Contemporary Australian Restaurant - Informal category.

Fiasco Risorante and Bar at the Jetty claimed top honours in the Italian Restaurant category.

Flooded Gums at the Bonville Golf Resort was judged the Best in Hotel Restaurant.

The awards attracted around 130 restaurateurs and caterers, whose businesses are situated in Northern NSW.

Organisers say the Awards for Excellence are the most dependable and authoritative guide to Australia's best restaurants and caterers, which has set the National benchmark for objectively recognising best practice.

The winning businesses will now compete with other regional finalists at the National finals to be held at Royal Randwick in Sydney on Monday, October 28.
