Touch of class as Tweed continues its upswing
LUXURY European cars will become even more common place on our roads, with Cricks Tweed adding the prestigious French motor brand Renault to its dealership.
The new Renault showroom opened at Cricks Tweed's Minjungbal Dr premises on December 1 and is already proving a hit with customers.
Dealership principal Jamie Wass said the region was an ideal place to invest with the market growing substantially, particularly on the booming Tweed Coast.
"There's no reason why you wouldn't invest in Tweed,” Mr Wass said.
"With growth in Salt, Kingscliff and surrounding areas, it is definitely well suited.”
Mr Wass said the dealership would focus on both the private and business markets with the Renault brand.
"We have got a very big commercial and van range with Renault,” he said.
"We are really going to promote that side of Renault but we have also got some funky, quirky cars that fit the demographic, so it covers both business and private buyers.”
Mr Wass said Cricks Tweed and Renault were keen to get into the growing Australian market for European brands.
"Renault has been around for a long time and is really starting to show great momentum now,” he said.
"The brand wants to be a player in that European market, the likes of VW have been going well, Renault's goal is to challenge that.”
Mr Wass said the addition of Renault to his shopfloor would complement the dealership's existing speciality brands of Subaru and Mitsubishi.
A family-owned business, Cricks Tweed opened 10 years ago as the fourth outlet of 12 dealerships in the Garry Crick Auto Group.
