Town centre spots in demand

ACCORDING to Robina Projects Australia, rental rates in the suburb’s CBD are going strong.

The organisation responsible for developing Campus Alpha and The Rocket buildings conducted its own research following a Property Council of Australia report into office occupancy rates in January this year.

A spokeswoman for the organisation said Robina Projects Australia had “Drilled down further into the recent Property Council of Australia figures, which cover Robina-Varsity Lakes, to just include CBD Robina, which is the commercial precinct surrounding the Robina Town Centre.

“This catchment comprises 16 buildings in which office space is available to lease. We feel this is a more accurate representation of Robina’s current supply than combining with available space in Varsity Lakes, which is a very different market.”

Research showed that the area has an office vacancy rate of less than 7% during August.

Robina Projects Australia general manager Hylton Slater said the high occupancy rate reflected heightened demand for quality space. The commercial precinct around Robina Town Centre has 63,882 square metres of office space, of which just over 4100 square metres is available.
