Tradies and shop owner chase thieves through M'bah
TRADIES came to a woman's aid and chased two thieves through Murwillumbah CBD after a man allegedly stole money from the cash register of a clothing shop.
Beverly Hill, from Beverley's On Main Street, said the man and the women had been acting suspiciously in-store before they left the shop about 12.30pm on Wednesday.
When she checked her till and realised what happened she immediately gave chase and called for help.
"I was running after them and I was screaming out 'help' as I chased after them," she said.
She said tradies rushed to her aid and joined the chase for the pair, who ran down a laneway before getting into a gold Nissan Pulsar.
She said the driver of the car went the wrong way out of the lane, almost causing a crash, before they fled the scene.
Police are seeking public help to identify two people who might be able to help with investigations.
The male is described at 180cm tall, of Caucasian appearance, dark-brown hair, stubble on face and was wearing blue shorts, thongs and a maroon t-shirt.
The woman was described as Aboriginal in appearance, with dark-brown hair in a ponytail and was wearing a black and white floral dress.
They were last seen in a gold Pulsar with Queensland plates.
