Traffic delays at Banora Point
THE Roads and Traffic Authority has advised Tweed motorists there will be changes to the traffic conditions at Banora Point and Tweed Heads South due to the Banora Point upgrade.
Motorists can expect traffic delays due to the construction of the new Laura St bridge this week.
Traffic control will also be in place this week to allow for work on the Lake Kimberly culverts with traffic delays expected.
Until Friday, between the hours of 7am-6pm, traffic control will be in place at Oyster Point Rd for truck movement in and out of the main cutting.
An RTA spokesman urged residents to take care when driving through the roadworks.
“Motorists are advised to drive with caution and obey all signs,” the spokesman said.
“Be roadwork aware, slow down and take care.
“Roadwork speed limits are enforceable.”
