Travelling costing more, service stays the same
DESPITE quality not improving at most Australian airports, the operators are charging more for the services they provide, a new report shows.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Watchdog report showed Brisbane Airport was the only capital city airport rated as "good" last year.
It revealed across all capital city airports, operators received "substantial increases" in revenues despite quality declines and low passenger number growth.
Sydney Airport had the highest profit margin on car parking, while Perth and Melbourne (Tullamarine) airports were equal last for quality of service.
