Tribute to Rat Pack legends headed to Twin Towns

IN THE 1960s the Rat Pack, as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford were known, owned Vegas.

Their performances were sell-outs and fans would even sleep in their cars just to be a part of the magic.

When one of the members was scheduled to give a performance, often the rest of the Pack would show up for an impromptu show, causing a huge buzz of excitement among audiences.

The Rat Pack from Vegas show to be staged at Twin Towns auditorium on February 7 as part of a 16-date Australian tour, is likely the closest that this generation will come to experiencing this entertainment phenomenon.

That's because all the original Rat Pack members are now dead, with Frank Sinatra the last to depart in 1998 at the age of 82.

The Rat Pack from Vegas show features David De Costa as Frank Sinatra. De Costa has a jazz background and has performed as Sinatra throughout the world.

Johnny Edwards has 20 years experience playing the "King of Cool" Dean Martin and has performed around the world (he's also the cousin of Cindi Lauper).

Critics have lauded Nicholas Brooks as "arguably the best Sammy in the world".
