Trick-or-treaters suffer minor injuries after stair collapse
SEVEN children escaped serious injury when a set of wooden stairs at a house in Brisbane's east collapsed beneath them last night.
It's understood the group were Halloween trick-or-treating when they visited the Queenslander on Amy Street in Hawthorne about 7.45pm.
Emergency services were called to the scene after the staircase suddenly fell away from the second-storey verandah, sending the children, aged between six and 15, to a garden bed about three metres below.
