Trojans retain premiership title

THE Lennox Head Trojans have gone back-to-back in defending their Far North Coast Rugby Union premiership 28-19 against Lismore at Crozier Field, Lismore on Saturday.

The reigning premiers, Lennox Head, had to do it the hard way, coming from 19-7 down at half time to shut out Lismore while scoring 21 points to claim the First grade title.

Lismore looked set to dominate grand final day but it wasn't to be in the lower grades, with Ballina wining Second grade, downing Lismore 41-7 while in Third grade, Ballina also proving Lismore's nemesis, claiming victory over Lismore winning 15-5.

Lismore did pick up a premiership in the under 19 grand final, running out victors over Wollongbar-Alstonville 15-5.
