Turf wars as thieves take grass

A THIEF with a green thumb has stolen turf from the Banora Point Upgrade site.

A Roads and Maritime Services spokeswoman said a patch of grass, about 20sq m, was removed from the site.

"The grass was removed from the Noarunga St exit u-turn bay at the southern end of the Banora Point Pacific Highway upgrade project in late June," the spokeswoman said.

"It was replaced but was vandalised a week later and will be repaired."
