Tweed border hockey

OUR under-16 girls played on turf in Murwillumbah on Saturday morning.

Kingscliff beat Redbacks 2-0.

Kingscliff's Gabby Nance made several attacking raids but Redbacks goalkeeper Erin Booth had a blinder making numerous saves.

Kingscliff's Sarah Hazell 'the champion goal scorer' had a great game on the wing.

War-Units took on Casuarina with Casuarina winning the game 1-0.

War-Units' Jordeigh Dunn was excellent in defence and Sarah Johnston was solid.

It was hard to pick players for Casuarina as they played as a team, their passing and ball control was excellent.

Our under-15 boys' and girls' Tweed Border representative teams are off to the Queensland State Championship this Sunday.

The boys are going to Cairns and the girls Mackay.

They will be playing teams from all over Queensland and on behalf of Tweed Border Hockey we hope you play well and have a great time.
