Tweed business targeted with two ‘suspicious devices’

SUSPICIOUS devices have been located at a Tweed Heads business twice in one week.

Last Tuesday, January 7, police and NSW Fire and Rescue officers attended the scene after staff at the River Terrace business noticed a suspicious device.

Then about 1.30pm, on Saturday January 11, police noticed a car had been driven through the front doors of the same business.

On inspection, they found two alleged suspicious devices in the car.

A crime scene was established and NSW Fire and Rescue officers, together with officers attached to the Police Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit, rendered the devices safe.

All items were seized for forensic examination and investigations into the incidents continue.

Police are appealing for information about the incidents.
