Tweed holds wedding expo
THE idea of planning a wedding is enough to put some couples off marriage altogether, but next month the nail-biting process will be made a little easier.
The Tweed Coast Wedding Expo will provide an affordable option for local businesses wanting to exhibit in a wedding expo and give couples the chance to speak to the experts and possibly plan their wedding all in one place.
FGF Bridal Collections and Man to Man will showcase a series of bridal and formal wear in two fashion parades on the day.
FGF Bridal Collections owner Nikki Waters said the expo gave her that extra bit of exposure.
"This year looks like it will be bigger than last year which is good, any exposure is great," Ms Waters said.
Ms Waters opened her store in Blundell Blvd, Tweed Heads South two years ago after more than 10 years of designing bridal wear.
Exhibitors will also include photographers, hair and makeup artists, invitations, entertainment, transport, wedding gowns, lolly buffets, cakes, decorations, celebrants, beauty, novelty photographs and photo booths, videography, balloons, gift registries, ceremony and reception venues, florists, bridal accessories and cake toppers, weight loss and children's entertainment.
The fashion parades, run by Brides Angels and The Edge Alternative Modelling Agency, will be held at 10am and 11:30am.
The day begins from 9am at the Tweed Civic Centre on Sunday May 6.
Entry is free if you register at coastalevents.com.au or $5 at the door.
