Article for Local papers – for August Tweed Links Concert
The Tweed Links Music Club features popular vocalist Michelle Cook in the Sunday Concert at Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club on Sunday 4th August 2pm.
A local girl, Michelle has only been singing seriously for a relative short time, 5 years, but during that time she has proved to be very popular with audiences round the Gold and Tweed Coasts. The late Allan Grant introduced her in the stage productions, Toast of the Town and Starlight Fantasy and since then she has appeared with the Tweed Theatre Company in several Musicals including Sound of Music as Sister Margarita and Fame as Miss Bell. Michelle's genre is Pop, Jazz, Swing and Blues with delightful interpretation. She is an eye-catching performer with a superb voice.
Also on the bill for August, is classical pianist Meredith Callan and young singers Rainer Tiffen and Chantal Ward.
Compere Bob Green and Shirley King will open the show with The Tweed Links Dancers accompanied by the Tweed Links Quartet
