Tweed man on stalking charge

A CASUARINA Beach man will face Brisbane Magistrates Court at a later date on charges of stalking a Gold Coast magistrate.

Gregory John Pearsall, 39, is alleged to have stalked Southport Magistrates Court magistrate Ron Kilner between September 27 and October 1 this year.

Mr Pearsall was charged with one count of unlawful stalking.

He appeared briefly in Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday morning before a date for his committal hearing was set for Monday December 7.

Mr Pearsall appeared in Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday where Mr Kilner was presiding.

An application was made then by Mr Pearsall's representative to move the case to Brisbane.
