
Tweed police cadet expelled from academy after assault
A TWEED man has been expelled from the Goulburn Police Academy after allegedly assaulting another student.
The man, 20, allegedly punched his peer multiple times in the back of the head which caused him to fall to the ground before he was repeatedly kicked.
The assault allegedly happened in a hotel room in the area about 10.30pm Thursday.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was taken to Goulburn Base Hospital for treatment.
The Tweed man was arrested and charged with assault occasioning actually bodily harm by investigators.
He was bailed out and is due to appear at Goulburn Local Court on September 25.
