Tweed sends 66 to state meet
Last weekend at Walter Peate Oval, Kingscliff the Tweed Seagulls Little Athletics Centre hosted the South Coast Regional Athletics Championships at Walter Peate Field, Kingscliff.
The track was in immaculate condition due to a combination of nature's sun as well as many hours of hard work in line-marking by president, Craig Simpkins and club stalwart Les Geary.
Tweed committee members were a little nervous as it was the first time their centre had hosted these championships, however they were thrilled when event organiser, Steve Hansaker from Helensvale, gave the 'thumbs up' on Sunday evening saying "it was a huge success".
