Tweed teen, 17, faces court for packing sawn-off shotgun

A TEEN was due to face court on Monday for carrying a sawn-off shotgun in Tweed Heads.

The 17-year-old was arrested for the firearms offence on Wednesday night, at the Dolphins Harbourisde Hotel.

On Thursday, a judge refused the teen bail at the Tweed Local Court.

He remains in custody until his court hearing today.

Dolphins Harbourside Hotel manager Clinton Britton said he was not aware of the arrest.
