Tweed Valley Way ‘as good as new’ after resealing
AFTER two days of traffic delays, the road works on Tweed Valley Way near Tumbulgum have been completed.
The resealing of 1.5km of road between Bartlet's Rd and Riverside Dr took place earlier this week after the threat of rain dashed earlier plans for the works.
A council spokesman said the road looked as good as new, after no problems arose during the works.
He said the new surface was bearing fresh marks, with little evidence of the brief disturbances in traffic flow.
The reseal was previously delayed on a number of occasions, as the nature of the work - along with a steady flow of traffic - would have left the road particularly sensitive to moisture.
